Long Time no Type....
Hello again. I hope you people haven't forgotten about me. Anyway, well you know, I have made new friends in my school when I first came. Now its been months and I know many people, I'm not sure if they know me. *the "I dunno" face* I miss all of you that have even met me. I'm sorry I can't be there, but know I'm thinking about you. Hello
Hey you people,
Right now I'm in the U.S......well first we had to fly to Hong Kong which took 4 hours...(on a plane duh! obviously...) and then we had to fly for 12 hours to the U.S. and here we are. :) I know that I said I would post some pictures but unfortunately I didn't take any yet. Well we are getting pretty busy. I have to go now I'll update the next time I have the chance. :)

Hey
Hey guys!
How are you guys doing? Well I'm doing um.....fine I guess. So what have you guys been up to so far? Right now I'm pretty busy cleaning the house because of the house inspectors. My house is so empty I barely have anything to do except sleepovers :). The day is getting closer and closer of the day that I leave Kuala Lumpur. We apparently are leaving on July 1st to go to the United States Of America. I'm going to miss so many people but I can't help it. I'll never forget you guys. Don't worry I'll keep my blog updated. Well I'll update soon. Until then farewell!

7th Grade Response
Hello 7th grade teachers!
I know that I won't be here for 7th grade but I want to do this. I will miss 6th grade so much. I love this school and I don't want to leave but unfortunately I must for my dad's job. There are some things that I will not miss such as a person that is in my humanities class and always needs to go to the bathroom. (But that person does not go to the bathroom.) I am very sad that I must move away from my friends, teachers and school. I will miss p.e and all my other subjects. I am moving on the 3rd week of June. It will be a sad tearful day when school ends. P.e has been fun to play sports such as basketball, touch rugby and badminton. Math is one of my favorite subjects to have because during math we can play games or have projects. Science is pretty good its just sometimes I don't like what we do.
Here is a quiz that I am taking:
1.What piece of work and learning are you most proud? Explain.
1a.There are so many pieces of work that I am proud of but the one that I wish to share with you now is my literature circle sheet. The reason I am proud of this piece of work is because I really thought about what I was going to say and what I wanted to say. I thought about the format and what way I wanted to do. I really put a lot of effort in these pieces of work to make sure that I understood what I was doing.
2. What were your greatest challenges? Explain.
2a. Some of my greatest challenges were during the year when I was having trouble with writing essays. When I first was taught the way to write I used that way but was having trouble with coming up with things that fit that category. Such as if there was an "explain" then I might have put a detail instead. Then during 6th grade I finally understood the method and how to use it properly. I understood why it was used and how it helped. I resolved this by finding out more about this method.
3. Reflecting on your growth this year, what did you learn about yourself as a learner?
3a. I learned that sometimes I'm not the best to answer a question. Sometimes I know what the answer is but sometimes I stutter. Sometimes I'm either too shy to answer because I might get it wrong or I just don't know the answer to it. Though I'm not the best I can still answer some of the questions that are asked. I learned that I need to build up more courage while I'm still young.
4. To evaluate your work habits, choose 1 of the following from each category ( and provide explanations):
a) Behavior

Perfect - the model student
Explanation: The reason that I'm perfect is because I don't often fiddle or fool around during class. I am usually not off topic. Behavior is one of the best things that I'm good at. Fooling around is not very often seen. I don't usually shout in class or do anything foolish.
b) Participation

Actively participate in class
Explanation: During class if I know the answer then I raise my hand to answer it. I usually participate in class when I have the chance. When someone on my table asks a question then I answer it depending on what they ask. When I participate then I feel proud of what I have contributed to the class.
c) Organization
Needs serious help
Satisfactory
I'm super organized
Explanation: I am really organized because I hand in my work on time. I also don't have all my papers crumpled or wet and soggy. Usually I try to use my time efficiently in class to finish my work. When something is due the day after the next day that I get it then I try to do half of it on the day that I get it and half of it on the next day before its due unless there is something that is really important that I can't do later.
d) Effort

I always go above and beyond what is required.
Explanation: When I turn in my work such as if its a test then I go over it and double check to see if I have any errors that I can fix. I try my best to put as much effort into my work as I can. My effort is usually enough and beyond but sometimes I have to put more than I can. When my teacher says to do something I ask if I can customize it a bit such as for the Ancient Egyptian poem I asked if I could frame it before I put it into my autobiography. She said that I could and so I did.
5. Based upon your reflections, write two personal learning goals for Grade 7 next year.
Goal 1 - In Grade 7, I plan to improve my understanding of science. This year of 6th grade science was awesome but some of the parts of it I didn't understand. I didn't understand some of it so when taking a quiz or test I usually don't do a good job. Next year I will try to study more and try to reread my notes to maybe be able to understand what we are learning.
Goal 2 - In Grade 7, I plan to try to get along with everyone that I meet. This year has been great but I haven't been getting along with everyone. So now that I know that I should try to get along with other people then in 7th grade I will try. Sometimes this phrase works "If you don't succeed try try again.". Also another one "If you can't beat them, join them.". I will try not to be the way I am now and try to improve what other people think of me.
6.Is there any more information about yourself that you would like the teachers to know?

How to save the Earth!
Hey guys,
I'm here today to talk about how you can save the Earth. There are so many ways that you could save the Earth. Some are to try to pollute less, save electricity, save trees, etc. I will explain to you guys how these things can help save the Earth.
When you pollute less then you are helping animals and humans. If you pollute such as throwing those six can plastic rings into the ocean. Animals can get caught in the rings. When animals get stuck in them then they eventually die. If you pollute the air then people have to breathe that polluted air. Breathing that polluted air doesn't do you any good at all. In order to prevent these things from happening you could try to use less transportation's that need fuel to operate. You could ride bicycles or walk to the place you are trying to get to instead of using fuel needed machines. Also you could cut down how many factories that have been made. Each factory usually has a pipe that leads up to the roof of the factory. From inside the factory smoke comes out in huge pacts in other words there is a lot of smoke coming out of the factory. If you try to do these things then we can make the world a better place not just for humans but also for other beings.
Another thing that you could do to help save the Earth is to save electricity. If you save electricity then you are saving energy. In order to get electricity we need to use ancient fuels such as fossil fuels, palm oil or others. Sooner or later we will run out of these resources. We need to preserve and try not to use these things so much. It will help the Earth if you don't use so much electricity. Then we won't have to cut down so many organisms to build electricity plants to control all the electricity. We will make the Earth more green if we do at least some of these things. Also a while ago there was Earth hour and thats when you turn off all your electricity for one hour. These things could make the Earth greener than it is.
The last thing that I will share with you is how to save trees. Saving trees really is one of the main ways to save the Earth. If we save trees than that will give us more oxygen and it will help the Earth. Trees provide us with paper. With that paper they make newspaper and of course everyone knows what newspaper is. Newspaper is made to tell everyone about what new things are happening. Trees are very important but if we continue at this stage to keep burning or chopping down trees than one day there will be nothing left and how can you expect to live if there are no trees. If there are no trees then there is no oxygen which mean that you WILL die. Trees are really important in our life and for the Earth.
If you do these things then you are contributing to help save the Earth. If you contribute to saving the Earth then you are a lifesaver. You are doing a good deed if you do these things and if you try to help in other ways. Thank you for helping.

Malaysia Week
Hi guys. Malaysia week was so much fun! I went to Palau Sibu which is a coastal survivor site. The bus ride to there was so bumpy and I almost got sick but luckily didn't. When we arrived at the dock to take the boat, we had to wait for the boat to come. The people in my site had to split into 2 groups. One of the groups had to wait but I was in the 1st group to go. Stopping at a dock across on the other side of the resort we were staying at. My friend clutched my arm because of the dogs that looked scary. Rizal thankfully found the path to our resort and we got there in less than 30 minutes. On the hike there we saw many leaves, a dirty well, lots of sand and a few dogs. When we got there we were greeted by Stuart, Sam and Darrin. While there we learned a few survival skills such as building a shelter, making a fire and cooking our food. We had some scavenger hunts as well as a lot of hiking around the island. We worked with compasses so much during the scavenger hunt. Our prize was 100 plus. 
We went swimming everyday at least 30 minutes. We could use boggy boards and snorkeling gear such as the mask and the tube to breath.
We had to practice survival on a different island and it was so much fun but the sun's rays were beating down on me and I got a pretty mean sunburn on my face. On the last day we had a bonfire and told scary stories. There were 3 tribes and we each had to preform a dance/song. All in all it was terrific except for the part that I got sunburn.

My Life
Hi I'm Steph and I live in KL/Malaysia. There is so much to tell about my life. Well when I go to school I feel like I have freedom though our school makes us wear uniforms. While at school my teachers are very nice to their students and we get to experience many fun things such as Malaysia Week, projects, and even normal work. At school you get lockers to put your things in to prevent having someone take your things. Everything at school is so colorful and pretty. Also we get so many holidays off. We work hard and we get rewarded.
But on the other hand when I go home I have to face my 15 year old brother. Usually my
brother is kind but not to my friends. He usually hates my friends, I don't know why. When I go home I do my homework and by the way we usually don't get so much homework. Usually doing homework is fun. After you sleep you wake up at a reasonable time to get on the bus (unless you go by car). Then onwards back to school!
Anyway as you know my name is Steph and I live in Malaysia. My home country is California. I was born in San Jose but we used our Fremont address and lived there for maybe 3 years. While I was there I would usually go to San Fransisco to visit relatives. In California you might want to go to the Golden Gate Bridge and also go sightseeing like I have. If you visit the Golden Gate Bridge I am
sure you will be amazed. While in Malaysia I have been to the Twin Tower!

Malaysia Week
Everybody is talking about Malaysia Week. This is a week, when the entire middle school goes to different sites and learns about nature, themselves and how to work together. This is one of the most fun weeks of the entire year. All anyone can talk about is what site they're going to and what they are going to do. People are excited to be able to have a different experience for one week. Our middle school has students going to, 2 different types of sites; rainforest and coastal. Each of these different types of sites are broken up to many different sites. I can't wait for Malaysia Week! I'll update you later!

My New Year Resolution
Hello! We meet again. This time I would like to talk about New Year Resolutions and the past year. Last year was a very busy year. Most people would be occupied getting ready for the holidays such as shopping for items according to the holiday, preparing their house, and many other things. Some New Year Resolutions are : 1. Getting fitter. 2. Getting my brother to buy gifts for other people. 3. Save my money well. 4. To learn how to do many things with my own hair such as braid my hair, and how to do so many styles with my hair. These are the things I would like for my New Year Resolution. I would like to know what your New Year Resolution are.... if you would like to know mine I have just listed them above. I must go now... Bye!
